Join us for an insightful workshop designed for professionals working with or interested in supporting individuals with sensory differences. This hands-on workshop offers a comprehensive exploration of music therapy’s role in sensory processing, integrating vital neuroscience insights with practical, experiential learning. The day will culminate in a relaxing sound bath, using Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, chimes, and the human voice to create a soundscape that promotes deep relaxation and meditation.

What to Expect:

In-depth Sessions: Delve into the neuroscience behind sensory processing needs and the transformative power of music therapy.

Interactive Learning: Engage in practical, hands-on activities that highlight multi-sensory experiences with musical instruments and technology.

Experiential Stations: Rotate through various ‘stations’ designed to simulate sensory experiences, enhancing your understanding and skills.

Collaborative Opportunities: Experience a fun-filled day of collaboration where you'll join other music therapy enthusiasts to explore innovative techniques and creative experiences in a supportive setting.

A variety of instruments will be used, including Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, chimes, and the human voice, to create a landscape of sound that washes over you. The combination of sound waves are designed to be heard but also felt physically, engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, and encouraging a deep state of relaxation.

Who is it suitable for?

Music Therapists, community musicians, music teachers, and arts in health practitioners or anyone currently working with or interested in working with adults and/or children with sensory differences.
