Your guide to individual and group Music Therapy sessions with Chiltern
Once you have contacted Chiltern to let us know you are interested in one of our services our friendly Referrals team will let you know our costs and availability within the team. It can sometimes take up to 6 weeks to allocate you a therapist, but we will be in touch throughout to keep you informed.
We usually recommend that our Music Therapy and Neurologic Music Therapy™ services begin with an initial meeting and an assessment (4-6 weeks). During the initial meeting you will meet the therapist and talk through the goals and aims of the sessions.
...depending on the needs of the client on the day. Our therapists use the remaining time to set up and write their notes. Sessions usually take place on the same day/time each week.
At the end of the assessment, our therapists will write a report and let you know if they recommend ongoing sessions or other music-making activities.
Alongside our individual sessions, we also provide group sessions in the community. You can attend one of our established sessions in various locations across England, or we can work with you to set up a new session in your local area. Click on the link to see if we have a group near you
