Autumn 2022 Training Programme

We’re excited to share our knowledge and expertise through our extensive programme of remote training for Autumn 2022. Aimed at a wide variety of practitioners, our programme has something for everyone!

Our programme of training will support Music Therapists to improve their skills and knowledge or deepen their understanding on a range of topics. We are also broadening our training offer to non-Music Therapists to help them discover more about the benefits of music and gain practical tips and advice on integrating music into the daily lives of those they care for/support.

For Music Therapists and Arts in Health Practitioners (and students), why now take a look at our upcoming trainings:

  • Equip yourself with a toolkit of accessible, tried and tested music tech resources to support specific clinical aims
  • Learn about the Music Therapy Outcome Star in our full-day training session
  • Discover GarageBand - Apple’s free music creation software
  • Explore a variety of ways to measure outcomes and progress of groups/individual clients in music therapy in ‘How to Measure a Smile’
  • And, new for 2022, improve your understanding of gender awareness in Music Therapy or learn more about neurodiversity affirming approaches in Music Therapy

We now offer training to a variety of practitioners across the education, health and social care sectors to increase understanding of what music therapy is all about and how music could play a role in their work.

  • Discover how music can support autistic children and young people
  • Occupational Therapists/Physiotherapists! Learn more about Neurologic Music Therapy and how you can successfully work alongside an NMT within a MDT
  • Find out how music can support people with dementia - for carers or family members
  • Improve mental health and wellbeing with music through our ‘In Harmony’ training

More information and booking can be found on our Get Involved Page. Student and group discounts are available.

Unable to attend on the day? We have launched a new ‘recording and slides only’ option to ensure you don’t miss out!
