Communications and Events Officer
The Opportunity
Chiltern Music Therapy is looking for a key individual to join our small communications team to support them in their aim of developing a growing community of champions; creating strong connections and giving them a voice to champion music therapy. It is an exciting time to join the team as we trial a new way of working over the next 12 months, focusing on big campaigns with a big impact.

Salary and Hours
- Salary: £28,000 per annum, pro rata (this salary is consistent with our organisational pay structure)
- Fixed term contract until end of January 2026 with potential to extend
- Part time: 16 hours per week
- Monday is a core working day and the applicant must have flexibility throughout the week to attend meetings
- The role is remote, however ideally we are looking for a role holder that can support events in person based in Buckinghamshire so a candidate local to this area is desirable to ensure that travel expenses are manageable.
- Attendance at 2-3 face to face meetings a year is also desirable and reasonable accommodations will be made to make sure this is accessible for the role holder.
Role and conditions
Overview of the role:
- Support the delivery of our quarterly campaigns by creating engaging and exciting content
- Act as a brand champion ensuring branding and messaging is consistent and accessible
- Contribute to the organisation and planning of events throughout the year
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead on campaign and ad hoc content creation
- Work with the Therapy Communicator to obtain content from the therapy team and ensure content adheres to our values
- Work with the Campaign Supporter to schedule video content and to ensure graphics are ready ahead of time
- Ensure all content is accessible and on brand
- Keep Monday.com up to date with progress
- Schedule content across different platforms
- Events coordination
- Contribute to the organisation and planning of events throughout the year, including coordinating logistics, leading on promotional materials, and supporting on-the-day activities as needed
- Where possible, attendance at local events in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area is desirable

What Chiltern Music Therapy is looking for
The successful applicant must be efficient, well-organised and able to work independently and with initiative when needed. You will have experience creating and writing content for different communications platforms. You will be required to work with different teams across the organisation, therefore strong communication and the ability to multitask and prioritise are essential. Strong copywriting skills are also essential. Experience with the following software/platforms is desirable but training can be given; Canva, Adobe (Premiere Pro and Indesign), MailChimp and Monday.com.
