During 2023 - 2024, Chiltern Music Therapist Laura delivered a weekly half-day music therapy service at a special school in South London.

Fourteen children were able to access sessions, including six individuals and one group of eight children, ranging from four to fourteen weeks of provision. Diagnoses of the children include autism, ADHD, PDA, anxiety disorder and  learning disability.

Reflecting on the impact of the music therapy sessions on one particular child, a member of the support staff said:

He really enjoys coming to your sessions... he doesn’t normally engage so well...it helps him to feel calm.
